Signs for Sleep is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and store it, and your rights. We operate in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).


1.1  What We Collect

We may collect: parent/caregiver name, email, and contact details; child's name, date of birth, and age; health history, medical conditions, medications, and developmental information; feeding history; sleep patterns and diary entries; session notes; payment details (processed by secure third-party providers); and testimonials where provided with consent.

Health information about children is classified as sensitive information under the Privacy Act and is collected only with your explicit consent and solely for the purpose of delivering sleep coaching services.


1.2  How We Use & Store Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to deliver and improve our coaching services, develop your child's sleep plan, track progress, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations. It is not used for marketing without your separate consent.

Data is stored securely via the Signs for Sleep client portal (Supabase encrypted cloud storage) and password-protected cloud files. Access is restricted to Chloé only. We retain client records for a minimum of 7 years following completion of services, in line with Australian obligations, after which records are securely destroyed.


1.3  Disclosure & Your Rights

We will not disclose your information to any third party without your explicit written consent, except where required by law or where necessary to prevent a serious and imminent threat to health or safety. Payment processors receive only the data necessary to process transactions.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements), and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. To exercise these rights, contact chloe@signsforsleep.com.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to clients. The current version is always available at signsforsleep.com.

2.1  Not Medical Advice

All information, guidance, sleep plans, and resources provided by Signs for Sleep during consultations, in written materials, via the client portal, on our website, or through social media are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing provided by Signs for Sleep constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Chloé is a certified holistic sleep coach (OCN Level 6) and is not a registered medical practitioner, nurse, psychologist, or allied health professional.


2.2  Medical Concerns & Safe Sleep

If you have any concern about your child's health, development, or wellbeing, always consult a qualified healthcare provider such as your General Practitioner (GP), paediatrician, or maternal and child health nurse. Do not delay seeking medical attention because of information received from Signs for Sleep.

Signs for Sleep strongly encourages all families to follow the current safe sleep guidelines issued by Red Nose Australia (rednose.org.au) or the applicable current safe sleep guidelines in your country. Safe sleep practices remain the responsibility of the parent or caregiver at all times.


2.3  Individual Results & Third Parties

Sleep coaching outcomes vary between families. Signs for Sleep does not guarantee specific results or timelines. Parents and caregivers retain full responsibility for all decisions regarding their child's care and sleep environment.

Signs for Sleep may reference third-party resources or organisations. Such references are provided in good faith for informational purposes only and do not constitute endorsement. Signs for Sleep accepts no responsibility for the content or services of third parties.
